Lukas Heinrich

Lukas Heinrich is a profesor for “Data Science in Physics” at the Technical University of Munich. He heads this research group.
His academic path started at the Humboldt University in Berlin, where he completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree under the supervision of Martin zur Nedden and Thomas Lohse. He then joined the NYU Experimental Particle Physics group at New York University to pursue a PhD under the supervision of Kyle Cranmer, which he completed in 2019. As a Postdoc, he joined CERN as a Research Fellow and later Research Staff. He is at TUM since 20222. Besides leading this research group, he also coordinates the ORIGIN Data Science Lab and is a member of the Munich Data Science Institute and the Munich Center for Machine Learning.
